Server Connection Scripts

Connect_SSH and Connect_SFTP scripts are designed to save you from re-typing the SSH key file name and the IP address each time you need to connect to the server or upload files to the server. Download the scripts to your machine.

Save the scripts in your home directory for easy access.

If you are using Windows, please download Putty.

Connect_SSH

Open the script in a text editor and change key_file to the name of your ssh key file, user to your user name, and server_ip to the server's IP address.

For example, ssh -i ~/.ssh/code.LineDrop.io john@127.2.8.8

Test the script, specifying the home directory along with the file name:

~/connect_ssh

Once successfully connected to the server, exit the session:

exit

Connect_SFTP
